The system language setting does not work? The time cannot be saved?
Fix an AZDOME dash cam that loses time or language settings — low battery, software loss, and firmware upgrade.
- When the voltage is low, the set time and date cannot be remembered, resulting in the inability to save the current time settings. It is recommended to set the date and time when there is sufficient battery power.
- If the time is set correctly, but after restarting the device, the dashcam's time reverts to the factory default time and the language version changes to English, this situation is caused by software loss. You can contact customer service to provide the version number, and they will send you the corresponding version of the software to resolve the issue.
- If the dashcam directly goes black screen without a delayed shutdown screen or shutdown prompt sound after the vehicle is turned off, this situation is generally caused by a faulty dashcam battery, please contact customer service.
Firmware upgrade method
First, format the memory card on the dashcam or computer, then copy the extracted files and bin files to the root directory of the SD card. After inserting the card into the dashcam and powering it on, it will automatically upgrade. Once the upgrade is complete, the dashcam will automatically turn on.
Attention
- Do not lose power during the upgrade process, as this may cause the upgrade to fail and the device to be unable to boot.
- After the upgrade is complete, remove the memory card, format it on a computer, and then reinsert it into the dashcam for use (otherwise, it will automatically upgrade again when reinserted into the dashcam).
