What to check when your AZDOME dash cam shows no power — cable, accessories, and safe charging methods.

The power cable used may not be the original, leading to insufficient power supply. Please confirm if it's the matching model for this dashcam. If not, we recommend replacing it with the factory power cable to troubleshoot.
Power cable is not working:
- If using a car charger, check if its indicator light is on. If the vehicle is powered but the light is off, there may be an issue with the cigarette lighter. Try using a different power cable or test another vehicle.
- If using a hardwire kit, ensure the hardwire kit are connected properly and that the voltage output is normal.
Malfunction due to faulty accessories: In the powered-off state, remove the memory card from the dashcam and unplug the cabin or rear camera interface, then power on the device. Try to reset the dashcam by inserting a needle into the R hole.
Power cable fault issue: You can plug the dashcam into another power cable of the same wattage to see if it powers on. If it does, the original power cable is faulty; Alternatively, connect another dashcam of the same wattage to this power cable to check if it powers on. If it still does not power on, then the original power supply is faulty, and you should replace the power cable.

Avoid using a mobile phone charger to power the dashcam, as the current from a mobile charger is too high and can easily damage the device.
Do not use power banks or computers to charge the dashcam, as power banks also have high current. Connecting to a computer may read the hardware inside the dashcam, which will not display the normal recording screen, leading to a misconception that the dashcam is faulty. The best testing method is to test it in the car, as the current and voltage from the car charger are protected and meet the normal operating principles of the dashcam.
